Starting in the small fishing village of Savudria you will feel as though you are on the edge of the world. This enchanting part of Croatia is one of the premier wine making regions in the country. If you are hoping to switch off from life, relax by the sea, sip wine and taste local food than you are in for the time of your life.

Both enchanting and historic, the villages of Croatia are spectacular and it is a nature lovers paradise. From pristine waterfalls to local agricultural, everything is touched by the landscape of the region.

Day 1: ROMANCE BY THE SEA

  • Arrival to Rovinj on the Croatian Coast
  • Meet & greet with an agency’s representative
  • Private transfer to the ethnobotany park Histria Aromatica, “seed-to-brand” educational agro-tourism center
  • Mid-day stop in a medieval hill-top village Bale
  • Winery visit and lunch at the Meneghetti estate
  • Dinner at a local restaurant showcasing Istrian gastronomic heritage with a modern touch, using locally grown ingredients
  • Accommodation in a small, hill-top town of Motovun, recognized as an art and cultural center of Istria

Day 2: TRUFFLE DAY

  • Breakfast in Motovun
  • Private transfer to Grožnjan, the most picturesque town in Istria dating back to the Roman times
  • Truffle hunting with dogs and lunch with truffle tasting at a remote all-inclusive farm stay
  • Dinner featuring local dishes showcasing truffle
  • Accommodation back in Motovun

Day 3: OLIVES AND WINE

  • Breakfast in Motovun
  • Visit to an olive farm and guided tour through an olive grove with over 100 years old trees
  • Lunch of Istrian dishes at a traditional restaurant, referred to as konoba, a name for the type of restaurants frequented by locals
  • Stop at a family winery known for utilizing only traditional farming practices
  • Return to Rovinj, evening stroll through the Old Town and a farewell dinner focusing on mediterranean and modern fusion cuisine
