It has some of the most spectacular natural landscapes in Europe and is waiting to be discovered. On our fun filled gourmet adventure you will stay on the farms, meet the food producers, taste the local dishes and enjoy the relaxing pace of life the natural landscapes of Slovenia.

Slovenia was awarded the title of European Region of Gastronomy 2021 by IGCAT; the country is getting Michelin restaurant reference guide next March; Slovenian Tourist Board’s current strategy is promoting Slovenia as a culinary destination.

The forest to table experience is much more than a trend in Slovenia, it is a lifestyle choice. On your adventure you will meet the local farmers and food producers, getting a true taste of Slovenia.

Day 1: BLED’S HONEY

  • Arrival to the town of Bled
  • Meet & greet with an agency’s representative
  • Visit to a honey bee farm
  • Dinner&accommodation at a nearby farm stay

Day 2: BOHIN’S WILD FLOWERS

  • Breakfast at the farm
  • Transfer to lake Bohinj for a botanical excursion with wild flower lunch
  • Easy hike to a waterfall Savic
  • Dinner and accommodation at a homestead on the hills above lake Bohinj

Day 3: SOČA VALLEY’S BOUNTIES

  • Breakfast at the homestead
  • Transfer to the train station
  • Scenic train ride through the mountains to Most na Soči
  • Visit to cheese making farm
  • Visit to the natural sight Tolmin Gorge
  •  Transfer to Kobarid
  • Accommodation and dinner in a hotel in Kobarid

Day 4: ECO VILLAGE ČADRG

  • Breakfast in Kobarid
  • Transfer to the very remote small eco-village Čadrg, visits of eco-farms in the village and over 700 year old village cheese factory /
  • Short hike to scenic viewpoints across mountain pastures
  • Transfer back to the accommodation in Kobarid
  • Dinner at Hiša Franko in Kobarid (restaurant owned by Ana Roš, who was awarded a title World’s Best Female Chef 2017)

Day 5: ON THE BOARDER

  • Breakfast
  • Visit to a local orchard
  • Transfer to Robidišče, the western most village in Slovenia, stone’s throw away from the Italian border
  • Lunch at a local restaurant with locally sourced ingredients and home made traditional dishes
  • Drive to Nadiža rive and a stop at the Napoleon Bridge
  • Transfer to the town of Bovec, the center for outdoor adventures on Soča river and sounding areas
  • Dinner at Dobra Vila, Bovec
  • Overnight at Sanje ob Soči, Bovec

Day 6: ADRENALINE AND UNSPOILED NATURE

  • Breakfast
  • Drive to Log pod Mangartom for a half day of canyoning in Fratarica (optional activities include river walking, nature sightseeing, open air museums, local hikes…)
  • Lunch with tasting at the eco-farm Černuta
  • Transfer over mountain pass Predel with a short stop by the Belopeška jezera in Italy
  • Transfer to the town of Kranjska Gora
  • Accommodation and dinner at the tourist farm Košir

Day 7: FAREWELL!

  • Farmer’s Breakfast at the farm
  • Farewell and an optional transfer to your next adventures
Farming has been a way of life in Slovenia for centuries and it is one of Europe's oldest wine producing regions. Nearly a quarter of the country of Slovenia is used for agriculture with approximately 9% dedicated to organic farming. For a population of just over 2 million people Slovenia knows how to use its land. On your culinary adventure you will have the chance to taste traditional dishes such as Njoki, Jota soup, Calamaris and prekmurska for dessert.
