What to Expect
Follow the French Fruit trail in the rural region of Normandy, France. If you are searching for your next wellness retreat than this is just the escape for you. It combines nature and food to delight the senses and allow you to appreciate the stunning french landscapes.
Over 62km this trail is the ideal escape to the country. The climate of Normandy makes it ideal for growing all types of fruits, including apples, plums, cherries and pears. Famous for its wide range of craft ciders, you will truly get a taste of the region. From Notre Dame de Bliquetuit to the tower Duclair every day is a new chance to live and breathe in the nature around you.
From April to October every year you will delight in the bursts of flowers and fruits on this magical trail. In Spring and early summer you will notice that the fields of cherry trees are picture perfect with light pink flowers. In the summer months the fruits begin to bloom and local harvest time begins. The Seine valley remains one of the last production areas for French tall cherry trees. Along the way you can stop by local farms that often have their freshly harvested fruits for sale at their gates. This is a unique treat for the senses.

Arrive in Honfleur (approximately 2 1/2 hours from Paris by train). Relax and enjoy this colourful old town. Take a stroll to the Port and visit the Maritime museum. Tonight we will enjoy a meal together before we embark on our fruit filled adventure.
Transfer to the start of the Fruit trail in the beautiful town of Notre-Dame-de-Bliquetuit. Today you will be cycling gently through the Seine National maritime park where you will enjoy the flat terrain. Admire the stunning Saint-Georges-de-Boscherville Abbey. Pass through the village of Heurteauville and Yainville. As we take our time cycling the trail we will stop by the local orchards and taste the local produce. We will finish in the beautiful town of Jumièges and enjoy dinner.
After breakfast this morning we will visit the Abbey in Jumièges, taking time to soak up the history of this medieval piece of architecture. After our fill of history we are ready to get back on the trail. Today we will cycle alongside orchards filled with apples, cherry trees and pears. We will stop in to say hello to some local fruit farmers and enjoy lunch with local cheese and pear cider. Today we pass through the villages of Caumont, Bardouville and Berville-sur-Seine along the way. We finish up for the night in the stunning town of Duclair.
