Our local guides have the insider information you need to learn all about the production process and to take you to the most breathtaking sites of the Douro Valley. You will stop for a pre-prepared picnic with a sip of wine of course. Enjoy sampling the local produce and getting to know the local culture.
DAY 1
You will be transferred from the lively centre of Porto to the heart of he Douro Valley with our expert local guides. Along the way you will stop for a picturesque, pre-packed picnic and enjoy soaking up the Douro landscape.
Once you get to the valley you will meet with local producers and enjoy tasting some of the famous wines of the Douro Valley.
After a tipple or two you will visit a local Olive Oil Factory to meet with the farmers who harvest the olives and learn about the production process. Enjoy tasting the olives and the oil on offer.
Finish with an overnight stay in the Valley where you can relax and explore the area.
DAY 2
Wake early for a homemade Portuguese breakfast. This is a free day where you can discover the valley and explore the surrounding areas. There are hiking trails, walking routes and plenty of vineyards for you to explore.
