Your walk will take you along the wild atlantic coastline where you will meet our local foraging expert who will teach you all about the seaweed, sea spinach and shellfish in the region.

Today we meet with the local foraging expert who brings us on our wild food adventure. Along the way we stop by numerous historical points of interest where we tell some old stories and get a taste of life in this part of Ireland in days gone by.
Before lunch we are treated to a taste of the land with some local forest foraging. After we have our fill of warm soda bread and homemade soup and sandwiches we travel to the stunning wild atlantic coastline. Here we learn about the shellfish of Ireland and methods of traditional fishing still used by the local communities.
Today we will explore the historic town of Westport, taking a guided walk through Westport house and stopping by Jim’s for a pot of home brewed tea. On this day we will have an evening of cooking together, using local ingredients and sipping some creamy pints of Guinness.
To end our tour on a high we take you to one of Ireland’s most famous mountains, Croagh Patrick. Today’s walk will be slightly tough so those who are up for a challenge will love it. If you want to opt out you can enjoy a cup of Irish coffee in the nearby cafe at the bottom of the mountain while we climb.
