A year worth slowing down for

Some of the best days begin with a small detour: a hand-painted farm sign, an orchard lane in blossom or a conversation with someone who knows the land. The Harvest Club 2027 calendar is an invitation to make more of those days.

Called The Art of Deceleration, it brings together twelve months of picking, foraging, pressing and feasting. Each month has a date grid, field notes, a mission and a Pick local · Taste global pairing. It is something to keep nearby, not another itinerary to complete.

Start where you are

You do not need to travel far to follow the calendar. January begins in the winter kitchen, with stored roots and the idea of learning from an off-season farm stay. February turns towards preserving and the cellar. In March, the mission is to go out with a local forager and learn a few plants, including a look-alike to avoid.

April follows the blossom lanes of Kent. May heads to the Brittany shore with a guided forage, tide awareness and local rules. June is for the berry rows of British Columbia. Use each destination as a spark for a day close to home, or a place to research for a future journey.

Long tables, roadside stops and apples

July makes room for a Tuscan agriturismo table: the connection between a day on the farm and the meal it produces. August follows roadside stands in Oregon, where asking a grower a question can be as memorable as the fruit you take away.

September is the apple rush in New England, with a mission to taste three unfamiliar varieties and discover what they are good for. October turns to community pressing and Somerset cider country. November returns to the soil with a community farm day in Ireland. December gathers around the hearth in the French Alps and leaves a little space to think about the following year.

How to make the calendar your own

Download the PDF, save it somewhere you can find it and print the whole calendar or a single month. There are fourteen pages: a cover and year overview, twelve monthly pages and a Harvest Club invitation.

Choose one mission that fits your time, budget and location. Pencil in the idea, then check the details with the farm, guide or local authority. Treat the destinations as seasonal inspiration rather than a universal harvest timetable: weather, access and growing conditions vary.

For wild foods, learn with a qualified guide and never eat something you cannot identify confidently. Coastal trips also need tide checks, safe access and local harvesting guidance. The calendar is inspiration, not an identification guide or a confirmed programme of events.

A free invitation to The Harvest Club

We are giving the calendar away when you join the free Harvest Club list. Add your name and email on the calendar page, agree to join the list and your PDF download appears immediately. No payment details or sign-in account are needed.

The free calendar signup is separate from paid Harvest Club membership. It does not start a subscription or unlock member-only community posting and recipe submissions. For now, save the calendar directly after signup: download emails and seasonal updates are not yet configured.

If you love wild food, wild trails and the people who grow what we eat, this is a gentle place to begin. Pick local. Taste global. Slow down. Dig in.
