How pick-your-own farms usually work
You pay by weight. Most farms weigh your containers at the gate on the way out rather than charging admission, so pick what you will actually eat or preserve.
The rows change weekly. Farms open and rest different rows as fruit ripens. Check the farm's own page the day before you set out, especially after rain.
Mornings beat afternoons. Fruit is cool, rows are full and queues are short. By late Sunday a popular field is picked thin.
