Ston's salt pans are thought to be among the oldest in the Mediterranean, and its bay has farmed oysters for centuries. In summer, join the salt workers at first light; all year, eat the oysters where they grow.

From July to September, join the salt workers raking crystals into barrows before the heat. Out of season, a guided walk of the pans.
